Lumière
Jazz with a French accent

Lumière
is a jazz group featuring Brian Williams, upright bass, Roy Berns, guitar, and Peter Ferran, clarinet. Each of these three fine artists has been active
in the Rochester music scene for decades playing swing, rockabilly,
and jazz. Peter has recently joined Lumière, replacing Ed Marris on accordian. (Ed left Rochester during the Spring.) They play swing standards from the 1930s in a style inspired by Django Reinhardt's later recordings.
Fall 2007 Schedule

DECEMBER UPDATE: Rick McRea will be subbing for Peter on trombone. He's a great player and trombone sounds great with our repertoire.

Our first CD, "At Last" is available at our gigs, the Bop Shop, and Lehmann Stringed Instruments. It features Brian, Roy, and Ed.
